Lun Zhang was a young sociology teacher in charge of the movement's security when the events occurred in Tiananmen Square in 1989. Forced to flee China, he became a refugee in France, where he now lives and works as a professor of Chinese civilization.

Adrien Gombeaud is a journalist and film critic. He holds degrees in Chinese and Korean language and civilization and writes for Les ÉchosLe Figaro Magazine, and Vanity Fair.  A member of the editorial board of Positif, he is the author of a dozen books, including The Man from Tiananmen SquareA Blonde in ManhattanDans les pas du Petit Timonier, and 30 Seconds in Arizona and coordinated A Dictionary of Asian Cinema.

Améziane is a writer, illustrator, artistic director, manga teacher and scriptwriter for films. His most recent work is the graphic novel Cash Cowboys.
