The Espace Culturel ICICLE in Paris announces: “From March 20 to May 30, 2024, the ICICLE Cultural Space welcomes the Chinese painter and illustrator Li Kunwu to present a selection of paintings and drawings in Chinese ink. A versatile artist, he worked as a press cartoonist for around thirty years and published around ten comic strips in France, including the trilogy on the cultural revolution A Chinese Life, released in English in a single 692-page volume by SelfMadeHero.” Li Kunwu's original art from this graphic novel is also on display in “Asian Comics: Evolution of an Art Form,” an exhibit curated by London-based comics maven Paul Gravett and a team of international advisors, currently at Santa Ana’s Bowers Museum in Orange County, CA.
