Lettering Interview with Cartoonist François Vigneault

Back in 2019, in the before-times, I had the honor and pleasure of working with François Vigneault on Gébé’s Letter to Survivors from New York Review Comics. Out of sheer admiration for his lettering work and personal interest into what went into it, I interviewed him over email about his process, and François was kind enough to grant me some time and valuable insight into the process of resurrecting a dead cartoonist’s hand-lettering in an original tribute form.
